Social Innovation Camps

Social Innovation Camp June 2011

We were back up to Scotland for our fifth Social Innovation Camp.

We kicked off with a call for ideas in March 2011 and the weekend was held from 17th-19th June 2011 at the Informatics Forum at Edinburgh University.

Social Innovation Camp March 2010: Jailbrake

For our fourth Social Innovation Camp, we did something a little different: in partnership with the National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts (NESTA), we ran a Social Innovation Camp all about finding and supporting great ideas that could break the cycle of youth offending using simple web and mobile tools.

The project was called ‘Jailbrake’ and you can read more about this special Social Innovation Camp on our blog.

We’re keen to run more Social Innovation Camps around a theme. If you’re looking to solve a particular social challenge and you think we could help, drop us a line.

Social Innovation Camp June 2009

We thought we’d try a different setting for our third Social Innovation Camp in June 2009, so we went up to Glasgow, Scotland.

Social Innovation Camp December 2008

Our second Social Innovation Camp was held from 5th-7th December 2008 at the Young Foundation in Bethnal Green, London.

Social Innovation Camp April 2008

Our first ever Social Innovation Camp was created in early 2008 and the weekend itself was held in London between 4th-6th April 2008.

You can find out more about what happened by watching our very own docu-drama and read about the projects as well as the two winners.
